We recommend leaving the resort by 4:30 PM to secure a good viewing spot, either on the steps or from a boat on the river.

For history enthusiasts, the 18th-century Ramnagar Fort stands as a majestic sentinel on the eastern bank of the Ganges, located about 11 km from Rohania. This cream-colored sandstone structure remains the ancestral home of the Maharaja of Benares. Guests can explore the eclectic museum housed within the fort, which features vintage American cars, jewel-encrusted sedan chairs, and an impressive armory. The fort is particularly beautiful at sunset, offering one of the most panoramic views of the Varanasi riverfront from across the water.
